The Adinu Unity Forum (AUF) has concluded plans for a mega thanksgiving service in honour of sons and daughters of Adinu whom God has elevated to new positions of honour and responsibilities.
The event which is scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd, is aimed to rally Adinu and Igede people generally to appreciate God for His immeasurable favour, love and grace upon the zone as demonstrated in the promotion or successful retirement of these illustrious sons and daughters of the zone.
Listed to be honoured at the event are, His Royal Highness, Chief Oga Ero (CP, retd), first Adirahu Ny’Igede; Major General Ede Ode (retd), first Military General from Igede and Chairman of Board of Trustees, Adinu Unity Forum; Rt Hon. David Agada Ogewu, member, House of Representatives; His Grace Most Rev. Dr Michael Icha Testimony Simeon, JP, first Archdiocesan Bishop of Igede Archdiocese, MCN; Rev. Dr Isaac Igwe, Superintendent, Assemblies of God, Igede District, and Prof Moses Ikape Ogbaji, Benue State Commissioner for Agriculture.
In a statement by the Publicity Chairmen, sub committee of the event, Sunday Ode, others to be honoured are Chief Obande Adoga, 3rd Class Chief, Igede Ariri/Adinu; Hon. Chief Isaac Onwu, Special Adviser to Governor Alia; Rt Rev Israel Ijoko Agi, Bishop of Adinu Diocese; Late Barr Etukwu Onah, SAN; and Mrs Alice Ojugbo Ojowu, former Direcor, Federal Ministry of Water Resources.
Under the distinguished chairmanship of former House of Assembly member and Chief Medical Director of Holy Cross Hospital, Rt Hon. Doctor Adoga Joseph Onah, and the Chairlady, Educator Jane Onah, the Thanksgiving which is one of its kind in Igede is scheduled to take place at CHRIST METHODIST CATHEDRAL, Uje Anchim, and time is 10am prompt.
Among the distinguished guests expected to grace the occasion are the Deputy Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Hon. Dr Sam Ode and Senator Abba Moro, Senate Minority Leader as Special Guest of Honour and Guest of Honour respectively.
All sons and daughters of Adinu, their friends and well wishers from within and outside Igede are invited to join in this celebration of God’s faithfulness to the zone.
