A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, on Monday said going by the chain of event recently in Nigeria’s political space, Vice-President Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) “may step down” for Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) when the ruling party holds its convention next month.
The APC’s special convention for its presidential primary has been scheduled to hold from Monday, 6 to Wednesday, 8 June, 2022.
The party commenced the screening of its presidential hopefuls today, with more than 20 party faithful comprising serving members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, governors, lawmakers, and business leaders, among those hoping to be the APC’s flagbearer.
The screening is taking place at the Transcorps Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

“Aminu Tambuwal Stepped down for Atiku Abubakar.Pat Utomi stepped down for Peter Obi. Prof. (referring to Osinbajo) may step down for Jag (Tinubu),” Sani wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
