By PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
A constitutional lawyer and Human Rights activist, Fidelis Onyebueke has said the popularity of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi across the country is the handiwork of God in action.
‘This is a man who left over 73billion in the coffers of the Anambra State Government while others are leaving behind baggage of debt”, Bar. Onyebueke said in interview with newsmen on Saturday in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
He said Nigerians are tired of those who steal public funds and in turn impoverished the people and pretend to be generous with public funds.
“When Obi left his former The People’s Democratic party (PDP), nobody gave him any chance, but today, he is the man to beat as Nigerian youths rally round him”.
“Obi is not giving people money, don’t you think that is the handiwork of God and the anointed one”
‘Look at what is happening in the South East, Biafra agitation has calmed down, his entry into the presidential race has brought hope to most Nigerians especially the youths”.
He said there’s need for credible and accountable leadership which the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic party (PDP) would not offer the nation.
“The monetization of the party primaries amounting to millions of dollars by the APC and PDP is an indication that both parties have nothing to offer Nigerians”, he said.
