Eight students have so far been confirmed dead following the collapse of a two storey building at Saint Academy around Bussa Buji area of Jos the Plateau State capital with many others injured.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occured at about 10am this morning when the students had just moved into their classrooms.
As at the time filing this report, emergency rescue teams are on ground rushing some of the injured students to the hospital for medical attention.
The emergency rescue personnel are still making frantic efforts to rescue some of the victims still trapped underground with the aid of an excavator.
Reports however say the bad road leading to the schoolsite and the huge crowd is making the rescue mission slow despite the efforts of security men.
