Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and President Bola Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on being conferred with the traditional title of Sardauna of Ilorin.
President Tinubu in a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said the title will be conferred on Governor AbdulRazaq by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Kolapo Sulu-Gambari, in Ilorin on Wednesday, September 16.
President Tinubu described the honour as a fitting recognition of Governor AbdulRazaq’s leadership, public service and contributions to the development of Kwara State, particularly his efforts to promote inclusive growth, social cohesion and the well-being of the people.
The President also commended the Emir of Ilorin for preserving the important role of traditional institutions in fostering harmony, supporting democratic governance and advancing sustainable development.
He urged Governor AbdulRazaq to embrace the title not only as a mark of honour, but also as a call to greater service and responsibility.
President Tinubu wished the Governor continued success, wisdom, strength and good health as he assumes the responsibilities of the Sardauna of Ilorin.
