Nigeria Police Force, through INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, has arraigned three suspects, George Ali, Anthony Ali and Simon Ali, before the Federal High Court, Abuja, over allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and obtaining by false pretences involving the sum of USD 100,000.
Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, confirmed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Friday in Abuja.
According to him, Preliminary investigation revealed that the complainant allegedly transferred USD 100,000 to the suspects in 2009 for the purchase and shipment of auto spare parts from the United States of America.
“It was further alleged that the transaction was not carried out as agreed and that the funds were subsequently diverted.
“Following investigation by operatives of INTERPOL NCB Abuja, the suspects were arraigned before the Federal High Court, Court 6, Maitama, Abuja.
“The matter was subsequently adjourned to 3rd December 2026 for further hearing.
The Nigeria Police Force said it remains committed to the diligent investigation of financial crimes and other offences, while ensuring that suspects are brought before the appropriate judicial authorities in accordance with the law.
