Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, presents President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with a personal drawing of him and his late mother during a courtesy visit following the national premiere of the MKO Abiola documentary in Abuja.
Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his return from abroad and the successful national premiere of the MKO Abiola documentary.
Musawa, who shared details of the visit in a post on her official social media page, said she presented the President with a personal drawing she made of him and his late mother as a symbol of appreciation and the special bond between a mother and her child.
She explained that although drawing is her hobby, the particular artwork carried a deeper personal meaning because of the support Tinubu offered her during a difficult period after she lost her own mother.
> “During the visit, I had the privilege of presenting Mr. President with a drawing I made of him and his late mother. I draw as a hobby, but this particular piece was deeply personal to me.”

Musawa said the inspiration behind the artwork came from the important role mothers play in the lives of their children and her personal experience of receiving kindness and support from the President.
> “It was inspired by the special place a mother holds in the life of a child and, more personally, by the support Mr. President showed me during the difficult period following the loss of my own mother.”
The minister expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his continued encouragement and goodwill towards her, while praying for divine guidance as he continues to lead the country.
> “I am deeply grateful to Mr. President for his continued support and kindness towards me. I pray that Almighty God continues to grant him wisdom, strength and guidance as he leads our nation.”
She added:
> “May God continue to guide and strengthen you, Mr. President.”
The visit came shortly after the national premiere of the MKO Abiola documentary, an initiative highlighting the life, contributions and democratic legacy of the late business icon and presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
As Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Musawa has continued to promote Nigeria’s creative industry, cultural heritage and the use of arts to preserve important national stories and personalities. The presentation of the artwork further reflects the role of creativity in expressing appreciation, memories and shared national experiences.
