Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has welcomed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC’s) upload of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) logo after a court order, urging candidates to begin campaigns and avoid internal divisions.
The founder and leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has congratulated the party’s leadership and members after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) uploaded the party’s approved logo in compliance with a High Court judgment.
Dickson described the development as a major victory for the party and said it had removed uncertainty ahead of the election campaign, allowing candidates to move forward with confidence.
He thanked the Nigerian judiciary and the leadership of INEC for obeying the court’s decision, saying respect for the rule of law remains essential to Nigeria’s democracy.

“I thank the Nigerian Judiciary and the INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and all members of the INEC team for complying with the court judgment,” Dickson said.
The former Bayelsa State governor also commended the National Chairman of the party, Senator Moses Cleopas, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), candidates and supporters for remaining united throughout the legal process.
“Our approved logo has now been uploaded, and candidates can print campaign materials and continue their consultations and campaigns with certainty,” he stated.
Dickson assured party members that the NDC would continue to defend its rights through lawful means, insisting that attempts to weaken the party through the courts had failed.
“We assure all Nigerians and our candidates that we are committed to seeing this through to the end. We are fighters, and we will fight until the end. We have resisted those who sought to use the judiciary against the party, and they have failed,” he said.
He urged all NDC candidates to work closely with the party at every level while setting up their campaign structures, warning against actions that could undermine the party’s chances at the polls.
“I call on all candidates to work with the party at all levels in the composition of their campaign teams as they are not independent candidates and AVOID SELF-SABOTAGE,” Dickson said, adding that members should also resist propaganda and misinformation aimed at creating division within the party.
The NDC leader said the party was founded on the principles of vision, selfless service and commitment to democratic values, stressing that it would continue to defend the democratic rights of Nigerians and promote a strong multi-party democracy across the country.
