A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr Emeka Ozoani, on Tuesday donated food items worth N2 million to cushion effects of COVID-19 lockdown on some lawyers in Lagos.
Ozoani said that the palliatives were for distribution to members of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja Branch, particularly young lawyers and aged members of the branch.
The SAN expressed the hope that his modest contribution would bring succour and the required relief to members who were in need.
Ozoani, also a member of NBA Ikeja Branch, urged members to keep faith and expressed the hope that the palliatives would provide necessary assistance.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the NBA in April set up Welfare Committee, chaired by Dr Olawale Babalakin (SAN), to raise funds for benefit of vulnerable members affected by the economic hardships occasioned by COVID-19. (NAN)
