Frontline charity group, Handsoflove has promised to offer befitting gifts as well as celebrate with the needy this season.
Founder/CEO, Gloria Omozele Ikhifa said that the gesture is to further extend a sense of belonging and encouragement and show practical and physical love to them.
Handsoflove which came as a child of necessity and crystalized into action at the outbreak of the Coronavirus, has done over 40 projects within a short space of time, including of rescuing an unmarried pregnant lady who had a still birth with a dead child stuck in her womb.
“God used us to save her life just as we also rehabilitated her. Prior to that she was totally stranded and had no money to go to the hospital but we did everything to restore her life as she rejoined the society.”
The group with a membership of over 18,000, has also assisted about 5000 distressed people with food, clothes, school bags and other items.
“In August alone (this year) we fed hundreds of indigent people on the suburb of Oworonshoki in Lagos. Giving to the havenots means much to us.”
However, the organization which hopes to go national and beyond next year, has nobody or company behind it yet. It serves as an NGO.
“Maybe with time people who like what we do would want to support us. That is not the ultimate either.
Handsoflove however still holds sway on Facebook and will be formally launched in the first quarter of next year, 2021
