A 40-year old truck driver working with a construction company in Potiskum town of Yobe State simply identified as Ari, has allegedly impregnated his brother’s 15-year old daughter.
It was gathered that teenager, whose identity was not disclosed, is a primary 5 pupil.
According to the victim’s family, the suspect has been staying in his brother’s house in Igwanda area of Potiskum town anytime he is on duty because his family house is in Damaturu and that gave him the advantage of luring the teenage girl to his room where he allegedly raped her severally.
It was learnt that the teenager had kept her sexual affair with her uncle as secret until when her mother noticed signs of pregnancy from her before she disclosed that her father’s biological brother is responsible for her 4-month old pregnancy.
The incident has left the family members of the victim devastated and they are calling for the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
Meanwhile, effort to reach the spokeperson of The Yobe State Police Command, was not successful, as text messages and calls to his phone rang out.
