–Interface with military on the commencement of farming, fishing activities, in Baga Town

The Baga Resettlement Committee chaired by The Borno State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Barr Kaka Lawan alongside with the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Local Government and Emirates Affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Mele and Newly sworn-in Special Adviser on Security Brig Gen A Ishaq Rtd and others traverses across Kauwa and Baga Town to reach Doron Baga to access the level of destruction caused by Boko Haram Insurgents which had made the communities to fled the town six years ago .
The Committees were received by the Brigade Commander 19, Brig.-Gen. A Haruna alongside with Brig.-Gen I.O. Bassey, before proceeding to Doron Baga where they access the level of destructions caused as a result of the insurgency.
The Committee accessed houses, school, hospitals and water points with the view to commenced clearance and reconstruction works in Doron Baga with the aim of returning the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Doron Baga community back to their ancestral homes.

Meanwhile, The Barr Lawan’s Committee distributed food items to 1,920 households in Baga Town which is equivalent to 11,520 beneficiaries. Each beneficiary received rice, beans and Maize of 12.5 kg on each item .
The Committee alongside with the Brigade Commander proceeded to inspect the ongoing clearance of shrubs and flash points which is now less than a kilometer to fish Dam, as its plan is to ensure the commencement of fishing and farming activities in Baga Town.
After returning from the inspection of clearance, the Committee interface with the military and other security agencies on how to deploy more resources and manpower to enhance the clearance to fish dam and Doron Baga Town in other to enable fishing, farming and rehabilitation of the people back to their ancestral homes.
The Committee chairman also highlighted the Governor’s commitments to the residents of Baga town and assured them of government’s readiness to commence fishing and farming activities as soon as possible despite the scare resources at it disposal .
Those who accompanied the Committee are Special Adviser to Governor Borno on Education Alhaji Tijani Bukar, Executive Chairman of Kukawa LG, stakeholders of Kukawa LG and some officials of the council.
