The Lagos State Government says it is investigating two cases of blood clot relating to covid-19 vaccination.
Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi who made this known in a statement said the State has concluded the first half of phase one COVID vaccination campaign – in line with the directive of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA).
Out of the 257,756 persons vaccinated, he said just a few experienced what is termed adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) or adverse event of special interest (AESI) characterised by pain at the injection site, fever or body pains lasting 24 to 48 hours and anaphylactic shock.
He said the second dose of the vaccine would be administered from May 28.
