Hello Dear Readers,
Time has passed so quickly. I wrote on this column, took a break and moved on. But you know, you always come back home. It is said that if you love something or someone, set it/her/him free and if it belonged with you, it will come back. I am so glad to be back on this Friday Rhapsody column. Oh yes, it feels good to be back! However, this come back is with a little more….
A little more self-knowledge, a little more enlightenment, a little more wisdom, a little more love for writing and a LOT more love for our reading audience.
Going onward together, we shall glide and slide through the issues and the topics of our days and times as they arise. Our areas of interest will cover gender-related issues, family concerns, marriage, lifestyle, personal growth and general societal concerns.
So much is happening, so much is at stake, but we cannot but continue to keep our heads and shoulders above water. COVID-19 lurks on: rape cases loom, disruption continues, legislative moves are ongoing, routines have changed, kids are home, young people wonder and wander, and the effects of stay home linger.
None of this will beat us as a people if we keep on the right path, support one another, act aright and each individual take responsibility for our common interests. Your privileged position is for a purpose that continually serves the vulnerable, poor, marginalized and downtrodden. At this time, we each can ensure that we are acting right and building great legacies of future generations.
In accord with the times, let’s stick with the recommendations as stipulated: Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, use hand sanitizers, avoid touching your mouth, ears and nose, wear face masks properly when you go out, and observe physical distance.
Together we can!
But what YOU DO matters!
