The Accident Investigation Bureau, Nigeria, AIB says, investigation has commenced into the serious incident involving a Boeing 737-300 operated by Air Peace Airline, which occurred around 9:31 PM on 8th March, 2021.
The aircraft, with 127 passengers and 6 crew members onboard en-route Lagos from Abuja had a burst tyre on landing on Runway 18R of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
In a statement, the AIB spokesman, Mr. Tunji Oketunbi says, the aircraft was later taxied to the General Aviation Terminal One, GAT to park, adding that there was no injury or fatality.
The Bureau, says, it solicits the assistance of the public to unraveling the cause of the serious incident in the form of video clips, relevant evidence or any other information of the incident that can assist them with this investigation.
According to the Bureau, they would appreciate that the general public and the media respect the privacy of the people involved and not assume the cause of the accident until formal report is released.
It assures, it would soon release the preliminary report or update the public when necessary.
