The wife of the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, visited Future Assured College in Maiduguri, where she was warmly received by the Acting Governor of Borno State, Honorable Umar Usman Kadafur, the Secretary to the State Government, Honorable Bukar Tijjani, and the Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Engineer Lawan Abba Wakilbe.
During her visit, the Commissioner and the school’s director accompanied her on a comprehensive tour of the school’s facilities, including various units and classrooms.
The former first lady also pledged to extend more support in improving educational and learning facilities in the school.
She expressed her gratitude to the state government and the school’s management for their excellent efforts in improving the school, particularly in the areas of student enrollment, academic standards, and quality of education.
She added that the purpose of her visit was to see for herself situation on ground and ascertain the progress made so far as well to discuss modalities for improved collaboration and greater impact.
It could be recalled that the college was established by the Aisha Buhari Foundation in Maiduguri to cater for the educational needs of victims of Boko Haram Insurgency in the state.
And the Vice President Kashim Shettima is the School Board Chairman which he supported tremendously during his tenure as Borno State Governor while presently, the school is also undergoing some projects including the building of blocks of classrooms and installation of educational and learning facilities among others.
