The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra state, Mr Mukaddas Garba has re-affirmed that all legitimately processed and existing vehicle tinted glass permits issued by the Nigeria Police Force within the zone stands valid.
The AIG made the clarification in a statement issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Princess Nkeiruka Nwode.
According to the statement, the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba, on SPY number plates and tinted permit must be obeyed.
AIG also directs Commissioners of Police in Anambra and Enugu States to give full effect to the directives and to ensure that all SPY number plates currently in use by unauthorized users within the Zone are retrieved with immediate effect.
He called on officers to ensure the rights and privileges of citizens are respected in line with the laws of the land and by international best practices and standards.
The statement enjoined residents of Anambra and Enugu States to cooperate with the Police in this regard and to report any infringement of their rights through the zonal emergency number: 08022528055.
