The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released the Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh on bail.
The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren said in a statement on Saturday that Mrs. Etteh was released on Friday, after she met her bail conditions offered her by investigators working on her matter.
Etteh was arrested on May 17 over alleged N130m fraud. She was detained over suspicious and shady financial involvement with Phil Jin Projects Limited.
Part of the statement reads: “Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs Patricia Olubunmi Etteh, who was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on suspicious and shady financial involvement with Phil Jin Projects Limited, has been released on bail”.
“She is to report periodically to assist further investigations”, The EFCC spokesman said in the statement.
