A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi state, Alhaji Uba Boris has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Wednesday night.
NATIONAL ACCORD reports that Boris, was a Senior Special Assistant to ex-governor of Bauchi state, Isa Yuguda on Youths. He later became the Director, Isa Yuguda Vocational Center, Bauchi.
He is currently the main convener of former Chief of Air Staff, Abubakar Sadiq 2023 Governorship campaign organization in Bauchi state.
Information available to our vorrespondent indicated that the young politician was accosted by the gunmen at the Central Bank of Nigeria roundabout close to the AA Rano filling station, along the Federal Low-cost road around 8pm.
They were said to have trailed him on two bikes until they got to the CBN roundabout where they stopped his car after firing several gunshots to scare away people around the area.
According to an eyewitness, immediately the kidnappers seized Boris, they bundled him into their waiting car, and also fired gunshots into the air and drove off.
He added that they drove through Nassarawa street but made a u-turn after sighting a Police patrol van ahead of them and then sped off along the Federal Low-cost road.
Associates and family of the abducted politician said that the kidnappers were yet to make any contact with them to make any demands as of the time of filing this story.
Several calls made to the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, were not picked as they rang out and was yet to call back.
He also did not reply a text message sent to him seeking Police confirmation on the matter and was yet to also reply it.
