Chief Frank Nweke Jr, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu, promised to deal decisively with all forms of insecurity in the state, if elected.
ENweke made the promise on Wednesday, when his Okeifufe Campaign train berthed in the Igbo-Etiti council area for their scheduled local government town hall meeting.
According to him, an APGA government will deal decisively with all forms of insecurity, including challenges posed by herdsmen.
The APGA candidate said he would restore Enugu to a place where every life was secured and treated with respect and dignity..
He regretted the menace of insecurity ravaging some parts of the state and said his government would work with the local authorities to end insecurity.
“We will work closely with traditional rulers and the local authorities to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to intervene at a certain level.
He said they would be required to provide the intelligence needed by statutory security agencies to ensure that farmers returned to their farms without fear to improve food security.(NAN)
