Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has lost his sister, Hajiya Saadatu Musa. She is said to had died on Tuesday.
A media statement signed by Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Governor, Muhktar Gidadoand, made this known to journalists on Wednesday night.
He said that the governor, while speaking during a condolence visit to the deceased family, described the deceased as a role model whose lifestyle was worthy of emulation in the society and a strong pillar to her family.
The media aide quoted the governor as saying: “On behalf of the Government and people of Bauchi state, I am here with my delegation for condolence over the demise of Hajiya Saadatu. Her demise is a great loss to the family.”
He said Engr Salmanu Mohammed who spoke on behalf of the deceased family, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the condolence visit.
According to Gidado, Governor Bala Mohammed was accompanied by his Deputy, Senator Baba Tela, Deputy Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Danlami Kawule, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mohammed Baba and Chief of Staff,Government House Bauchi, Dr Ladan Salihu, among others.
