The Acting Executive Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA), James Iorpuu has been bestowed with the the National Leadership Award in Grassroots Development by the Presidency.
This followed the choice of the BSEMA boss as one of the top 20 government appointees across states and local governments in the Federation,
A statement by the Information Officer of BSEMA Terna Ager, revealed that the ceremony was organized by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Logistics and took place at the Nigeria National Merit Award House in Maitama, Abuja.
The statement quoted the BSEMA Executive Secretary as expressing gratitude for the honor, acknowledging the significance of his role in advancing grassroots development in Nigeria.
According to the statement, the ES extended appreciation to the organizers for finding him worthy of such a prestigious award among his peers in the North Central region and attributed his success to the unwavering support of the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, for entrusting him with responsibilities in his administration.
Iorpuu who dedicated the award to Governor Alia, expressed profound gratitude for the continuous support that enabled him to achieve national recognition and pledged to remain committed to serving the people of Benue State and contribute to its development.
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, friends, and political associates for their unwavering support and companionship during the ceremony.
