PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
Ambassador Bola Omodele Adebola, The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mod Oil and Gas, has bagged exceptional entrepreneurship awards from (HRM) Oba Ambaliu Agbedeyi, the Alaige of Orile Agege Kingdom.
The Lagos state-born and Calabar-based business mogul, was rewarded for his contributions in oil and gas sector and entrepreneurship development.
Adebola said tin an interview in Calabar, that the Exceptional Entrepreneurship Award of the year 2022 was in commemorations of the 10th coronation anniversary of HRM Oba Ambaliu Agbedeyi, the Alaige of Orile Agege Kingdom
According to him, “the award was given to him in recognition of his vast exploit in the oil and gas, entertainment, and hospitality business and appreciation of his exemplary service in his community of birth through the establishment of the Bola Omodele Foundation(BOF) and Youth Independent Coalition (YIC) where over 200 youths have been empowered in various vocational skills for free and also his provision of educational scholarship to less privileged student and sponsorship of medical treatment for some elders who couldn’t afford the cost of basic treatment and so on.
“The significant of the award to me as a person is the fact that our little contributions and efforts in human development and poverty alleviation is been noticed and rewarded and in return will encourage me to work harder and sacrifice more for the indigent people in our society and also be a shining light and a source of encouragement to upcoming entrepreneurs who are bedeviled with Nigeria mounting challenges, that with God, commitment, doggedness and innovation nothing is impossible”
“My advice to the youths is for them to put in the work that is required to get there. Every recognition has a prize and young people must be willing to make sacrifices and delay gratification. The sky is big enough to accommodate everyone but you have to create your space in the sky to own”
Adebola was earlier in the year awarded with the business influencer of the year award by Calabar Blog, a foremost Cross Rivers State media platform and most recently the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Cross River State Spirit of Enterprise Awards (3rd Edition).
