As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, the management of Divine Jubilation College of Health Technology, Masaka, Nasarawa State, said it has been going round Masaka and its environs to sensitize residents and market women on the need to observe Covid-19 prevention guidelines.
The proprietor of the health institution, Mr. Michael Ishola disclosed this to newsmen who visited the college to see how it is observing the Covid-19 safety guidelines.
According to the proprietor, since the outbreak of the pandemic, the staff and students of the college have been going round the community to sensitize residents on the need to wear facemask, engage in proper handwashing and observe social distancing.
Apart from the safety guidelines, he stated that The College’s Department of Environmental Sciences have been carrying out campaign on how best to keep the market environment clean, through proper disposal of waste.
Mr. Ishola also added that the College has provided disposable waste basket in strategic locations in the market and would most times do random picking and clearing of waste from the area.
In his remarks, The Provost of the College, Mr. Ogede Ngbe assures that the management would continue to advise students to wear facemask and check their temperature regularly.
He however said that the provision of handwashing buckets would be sustained in order to ensure the safety of their students.
