The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Bauchi State, has confirmed one person dead in a fatal auto crash that happened on Saturday evening in the state.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Sunday, said the crash happened near Zaranda Hotel along Bauchi – Jos road.
Mr. Abdullahi said that the crash involved a Bajaaj commercial motorcycle driven by one Musa Saleh with registration number: SHR875 UV and a commercial tipper with XA 488 KED as its registration number.
He said: “The fatal occurred near Zaranda Hotel along Bauchi – Jos road on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at about 4.50pm.
“Immediately, our men rushed to the scene within six minutes for a rescue operation.
“The crash involved a commercial motorcycle and a commercial tipper. Three male adults were involved in the incident.
“They evacuated the victims and rushed them to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi for treatment and confirmation. It was there that a medical doctor confirmed one person dead,” he said.
Mr. Abdullahi said that the remaining two people escaped unhurt adding that the vehicle was removed from the scene and handed over to the GRA Divisional Police Headquarters.
