The Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Bauchi State Sector Command says two people were killed in a fatal crash that occurred at Miya-Barkate along Toro-Jos road, Toro Local Government Area of the State.
The FRSC, in a road traffic crash report from RS 12.14, Toro Unit Command which was obtained by our Correspondent, said that 30 other people sustained various degrees of injuries.
The report indicated that the crash, involving three vehicles which were coming together in the same direction, occurred at 12.30pm on Saturday.
According to the FRSC, the vehicles involved in the fatal crash are two private vehicles: Toyota Carina E with registration number: YAB427HW and a Corolla with registration number: APP754AE while the third is a commercial Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number: YDB953AA.
It said that the crash involved a total number of 32 people comprising 27 male adults and five female adults and might have been caused by speed limit violation.
“The victims were evacuated to the Toro General Hospital for treatment and confirmation,. The medical doctor confirmed two male adults dead, while 25 male adults and five female adults suffered several degrees of injuries.
“The corpses were deposited at the Toro General Hospital for treatment,” the statement indicated.
