Governors and the Presidency will meet on Thursday, next week, to finalize the framework for the implementation of the financial autonomy of the legislature and the judiciary at the state level.
Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal disclosed this to newsmen after a delegation of the Governors met with the Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, on the matter.
He said the series of meetings being held, were aimed at shifting areas of concern to the Governors.
Governor Tambuwal said the Governors had expressed support for the financial autonomy of the two arms of government to strengthen the polity and enhance effective checks and balances.
President Buhari last year issued Order 10, to enforce the constitutional clauses granting financial independence to the two arms of government.
