The Jigawa State Governor said their track records of performance as Nigerian leaders of presidential and vice presidential candidate of the APC for 2023 election speak for them.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to eschew religious sentiments and vote for performance by the duo of Tinubu and Shettima who have leadership capacities and capabilities to truly lead Nigeria to the promise land after the current tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking in similar vein, Senator Grace Bent, Chairman of the APC-PCC Special Duties Directorate, remarked that the Tinubu-Shettima combination is a win-win ticket for the APC and all Nigerians.
Quoting Asiwaju Tinubu, Senator Bent said: “If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not Islamised his wife, who is a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and Lagos State where he has remained an iconic leader since 1999, there is nothing to fear by Nigerian Christians and the body Christ in the country generally as Asiwaju was the one that returned most the mission colleges to their owners during his tenure as Lagos State governor between 1999 and 2007”.
Senator Bent remarked that as leaders in their respective states, the APC flag bearers in next year presidential election, did demonstrate equity and fairness to their citizens irrespective of their social status and religious affiliations.
While noting that “Tinubu is a friend to Christains”, Senator Bent added that there have been huge testimonies about Senator Shettima’s assistance to Christians and the Church in Borno State and Northeastern Nigeria generally at the height of the Boko Haram insurgency.
Other dignitaries that graced the inauguration include Bishop John Paul, the General Overseer of Last Day Army Ministries and Sheikh Mallam Kaka, Chief Imam of Karamagigi, Abuja.
