Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas has warned the citizens of the state to shun any evil plans that would hinder the success of the free and compulsory education policy introduced by his administration.
Governor Kefas gave the warning during a media chat and unveiling of “Moving Forward” slogan to commemorate his one year in office, held on Wednesday at the Government House, Jalingo, Taraba State.
He said the free education policy is yet to receive a boost based on the poor infrastructural protection of the school facilities. He however pledged to ensure that every child must be in school.
According to him, over 100,000 school uniforms are available and await distribution as soon as the infrastructures are put in place.
He appealed to the citizens to be patient with his leadership, as no stone would be left unturned to ensure that everyone feels the dividends of democracy.
Governor Kefas reiterated that the challenges of electricity supply, water and other basic amenities that are frustrating the economic development in the state would be address as soon as possible.
