A Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youth development, Okiemute Sowho, has been killed by Gunmen in Sapele, Delta State.
Sowho, who until his death also served as an aide to the state commissioner for Agriculture who was reportedly shot at a close range around 6 pm on Saturday evening near a popular hotel in Sapele
It was gathered that the deceased went to inspect a building in the vicinity when his killers suddenly opened fire and killed him instantly.
He was then rushed to a private hospital in the area where the doctors confirmed him dead.
The acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Edafe Bright confirmed the incident to Channels Television on Sunday, adding that investigation into the death has begun.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has reacted to the incident, expressing sadness over Sowho’s death.
He asked security operatives not to leave any stone unturned in unravelling the circumstances surrounding the dastardly act.
