The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has expressed happiness over the increase in the numbers of registered members of All Progressives Congress (APC) across the country.
The Governor made this submission on Friday, when he received members of the APC Registration and Revalidation Appeal Committee, led by its Chairman, Honourable Farouk Adamu Aliyu at the Presidential Lodge in Ilorin, the Kwara State’s capital.
Governor AbdulRazaq said: “Since you came, you have been working hard for the success of the Party. This process is part of efforts of building a strong Party and I am glad the registration has been done and has been done well”.
According to him: “Those that have been left out would be included, while assuring that no one would be left out in the process”.
He added that the number of registered APC members across the country has exceeded the the total number of voters in the last general elections.
In his remarks, Honourable Aliyu, said the committee was directed by the Party’s National Headquarters to visit and interact with aggrieved party members in the state.
Hon. Aliyu said: “We have met with the aggrieved party members in the state and we had a very fruitful discussion with them and they have responded positively “.
Other members of the Committee includes, Dr. Garba Awanen, Head of Appeal Committee Secretariat, Hauwa Grema Mohammed, Barrister Fola Vincent, Barrister James Chukwudi, Chief Victor Gideon and Senator John Danboyi, Chairman, Kwara state APC Registration and Revalidation Committee.
