The INEC Staff Multi-purpose Cooperative Society has declared a net surplus of Eight Million, three hundred and fourty thousand naira, fourty one kobo (N8,340,41.00) only for 2019 financial year.
The President of the Society, Jafaru gambo-Leko disclosed this Tuesday in Abuja at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), for the year ended 2020.
Gambo-leko therefore seek the approval of the Cooperators to share the surplus in addition to the sum of N2,864,130 only from the provision for AGM which amount to N11,204,171 only.
“I therefore seek your approval to share this surplus in addition with the sum of N2,864,130 from the provision for the AGM which bring the total amount to be shared to N11,204,171 only as against the one for the previous year.
The President called on those who are yet to claim their dividend for last year to kindly provide their account details for remmitance without delay.
Speaking on his achievement in office the president disclosed that, the Executive in a quest to address lingering problem attached to their housing estate, ensured the completion of the houses at the Solutionis Estate Karshi Navy site where the cooperative have 35 plots of 500 square metres.
According to him, that will end the long term investment in building as advised by professionals noting that many of their members are already in their houses as others are parking in.
“Though, some of our members who had earlier subscribed for the houses were already informed in persons that the cooperative will not continue with the building but will allocate lands to them since is part of the MOU that you can build by yourself and some have already opted for the land option”, he added.
He said the new executive has identified that building a workable relationship with the commission should be one of its priority and that has already been commenced in order to enhance productivity.
