The National Chairman of Labour Party (LP), Mr Julius Abure has announced Mr Akin Osuntokun as the new Director-General of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council to replace Mr Doyin Okupe.
Abure made the announcement at a meeting of the National Working Committee of the party on Tuesday in Abuja.
Akin Osuntokun is a former aide to President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He would be replacing the former DG of the Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, who announced his resignation in a letter last Tuesday following a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that convicted him of violating the Money Laundering Act.
