Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), are expected to resume their legislative duties next week Tuesday, 2nd May, 2023.
Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, gave the directive in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, on Thursday.
Hon. Abdullahi called on all the lawmakers to ensure that they resume office Tuesday, unfailingly as there are line up of important state matters to be attended to.
“Hon Members on resumption are also expected to hold sitting on that day, attend to some pending bills and other state matters”
“All Clerks at table, other chamber and subordinate staff are also expected to be on hand, make necessary arrangements for the day sitting which will commence by 10 O’clock in the morning at the Assembly Complex, Shendam Road Lafia” the statement reads.
The resumption is coming after one of their longest vacation in history so far, ranging from Christmas vacation to general elections, Easter and Ramadan/Sallah recess.
The members proceeded on recess on 20th December, 2022 to resume February 6th, 2023 but the holiday was extended for general elections, Easter break and then Ramadan fast.
