The Nasarawa State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Keffi has administered oath of matriculation to 771 students who recently given administration by the institution .
The matriculation took place on Thursday at the school’s new permanent site located along Keffi – Abuja express road beside the NYSC orientation camp
Speaking at the occasion, The Provost of The College, Alhaji Suleiman Abdulahi Muhamad charged the matriculating students to be of good behavior and shun acts that could geopadize their studies and bring shame to the school and their parents.
The provost who went dawn memory lane, said the institution which was established in 1999 with back up laws could not be passed untill the administration of Engr. Abdulahi Sule whose assembly passed the law which has changed the status of the school to that of a college.
He said through collaborative effort, management of the college has secured her higher National Diploma courses with the National Board for Technical Education, Universal Basic Education Council as well as gotten affiliations with the National Open University of Nigeria, and Nasarawa State University among others.
He commended the Nasarawa State Governor for upgrading the status, providing infrastructures and manpower for the smooth operations of the college.
In his speech, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Doctor Janet Angbazo, congratulated the students for their admission.
She also extolled the leadership qualities of the acting provost and assured them of governmit assistance.
