Prof. Abdullahi Mustapha, newly appointed Director-General (DG) of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) has solicited for the support of members of staff of the organisation, as he assumed duty.
Mustapha said this shorty after assuming duty at the agency`s headquarters on Tuesday in Abuja.
” I seek your support, partnership and cooperation in promoting biotechnology activities in Nigeria and Africa at large, ” he said.
Mustapha took over from Prof. Alex Akpa who had acted as DG of the organisation for about two years.
Dr Nasiru Ibrahim, NABDA Director of Agricultural Biotechnology, who spoke on behalf of the management team, assured him of the cooperation of members of staff of the agency.
Before his appointment, Mustapha was a lecturer at the Federal University, Dutse (FUD), Jigawa.
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Chemist (MICCON), Royal Society of Chemistry, United Kingdom (MRSC) and Fellow, Chemical Society of Nigeria (FCSN). (NAN)
