The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced on Monday that 157 new cases of COVID-19 had been recorded in the country.
According to the health agency, the 157 new infections were recorded from eight states across Nigeria.
The NCDC, in the daily update on its official twitter handle, @NCDCgov, said that with the development the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country had come to 65,305.
It also said that of the total confirmed inbfections, 61,162 cases had been treated and discharged, while 1,163 deaths were recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria early this year.
A breakdown of the 157 new infections showed that 97 cases came from Lagos, followed by Oyo with 37 and Kaduna with 9.
The remaining cases came from Bayelsa-3, Edo-3, Ekiti-3, Ondo-2, Osun-2, and Plateau-1.
