281 new cases of COVID-19 infections were recorded in 13 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
In an update on its official twitter handle NCDCgov, the health agency also put total infection at 67,838 with 63,430 discharged cases and 1,176 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic in Nigeria early this year.
A breakdown of the 281 new infections shows that Lagos alone recorded 123 cases, followed by the FCT-64 Kaduna-38 and Imo-15.
The remaining cases came from Rivers-11, Plateau-8, Ogun-5, Bayelsa-4, Kwara-4, Bauchi-3, Edo-3, Kano-2 and Osun-1.
