The confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) from 55 African countries have reached 2,107,358 as of today.
While reported deaths in Africa have reached 50,647 and recoveries 1,781,750, the number of Covid-19 tests performed to date is 20,290,868.
South Africa has the most reported cases – 775,502, with deaths numbering 21,201. Other most-affected countries include Morocco (336,506), Egypt (114,107), Ethiopia (107,109), Tunisia (91,307) and Libya (79,797).
The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well national and regional public health departments.(allafrica.com)
