ARMSTRONG ALLAHMAGANI, Bauchi –
A former Treasurer of Peoples Democratic Party (PdP) in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Ibrahim Tanko, has been declared the winner of the Burra State Constituency election held on Saturday.
He defeated the incumbent Member of the All Progressives Congress, Ado Wakili.
According to the official results of the Constituency which was announced by the Returning Officer of the election, Idris Muhammad, Tanko scored a total of 11,226 votes while his closest rival, Wakili, got 7,210 votes.
The candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Zakari Kabiru, came a distant third with a total of 1,466 votes.
