A member of the House of Representatives for Gwer East/ Gwer West Federal Constituency Dr. Asema Achado has moved with determination to address the challenges of his constituents to improve their living standard.
Dr. Achado disclosed this while conducting a select journalists round some of the projects he executed for the benefit of his people in his constituency.
The federal lawmaker noted that the people of Gwer West/ Gwer East sent him to the National Assembly to serve them and he would only feel fulfilled if he was able to tackle the challenges starring in the faces of his constituents.
Achado informed that some communities in his constituency have problem of roads, water, poor learning environment. poor facilities for security agents, lack of employment and absence of farm inputs as well as food items among others.
Achado who lamented the security situation in his constituency told journalists that the situation propelled him to reconstruct the Divisional Police Station at Aliede, Gwer East local government area and as well built and furnished an eight man quarters for some officers to enable them perform maximally.
The legislator noted also that he has also renovated the police station at Naka for the same purpose.
Besides that, Achado has constructed and donated a two thousand sitting capacity at SS Peter and Paul Catholic church building at Aliade and has provided scholarship for indigent students, financial support to law school students and foreign students, free JAMB registration project series, and has contributed significantly to upscale Masev Community Secondary School, Taraku.
But at the site of a dam at Mbawergba, Mbaabir community, the traditional ruler of the area, Chief Akule Akpehe Ishorigba appreciated the federal lawmaker for the support for their community insisting that scarcity of water makes their people to go long distances in search of water and lauded the initiative of the lawmaker and appealed that efforts should be geared towards completing the project.
Also at the Mbaiper community in Mbakyaan council ward of Gwer East local government, the traditional ruler, Chief Peter Iorsamber Agbayongo expressed gratitude over the construction of a dam for their community.
The monarch who expressed joy that the project had been completed said the representative has provided what they never thought would come to them and assured that they would guide the project judiciously and urged others to emulate Achado for more things to come to their community.
An opinion leader in the community, Atser Aganyi, who also commented lauded the provision of water in their community and assured the lawmaker of their unalloyed support for better things to come their community.
Also commenting an All Progressives Congress (APC), Chairman in the area, Deoron Tarkaa Christian, also expressed happiness for the projects executed the lawmaker, insisting that more of such projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people would be executed.
