Senator representing Borno South, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has consoled the Gwoza community over the unfortunate incident that resulted in numerous deaths and injuries.
It was reported that a female suicide bomber infiltrated a gathering of Gwoza residents who had assembled for a wedding program on Saturday.
According to reports, many were killed and scores injured during the tragic incident in Gwoza town.
Senator Ndume, himself a native of Gwoza Local Government, was deeply shocked and saddened by the attack, especially as displaced persons are now being reintegrated into their communities more than a decade after the initial displacement.
“I’m at a loss for words, Innah Iillahi Wa Innah Ilaihi Raj’un,” he said.
The lawmaker specifically sent a message of support to the government and people of Borno State, the Emir of Gwoza, and particularly the residents of Gwoza.
He called on his constituents to remain resilient, alert, and security conscious.
