In a bid to bring to an end the worrisome spate of insecurity that has bedeviled Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi States in north West, the newly posted Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in Charge of Zone 10, AIG Bello Dalijan said synergy with all relevant stakeholders is required to halt the trend.
The AIG stated this on Friday when he paid a familiarization visit to Maj General Uwem Bassey, Maj. General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division Nigerian Army, Sokoto.
AIG Dalijan, who stressed that having been deployed to the zone newly, he deemed it necessary and in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Baba to visit all other sister security agencies in the states to create formidable synergy towards ending all forms of criminalities from Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara respectively.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the visit, AIG Dalijan appealed to all and sundry to also avail the security agencies with useful information that will lead to a crime free society for all.
“As you all know, it is in line of duty that once you are deployed to another area of responsibility one has to familiarise himself with the terrain. Police are the key players and stakeholders in fighting crime and criminality and the military are our partners in progress”.
“So, that is why I have to visit the GOC to synergise and discuss areas of collaboration in line with our collective mandate of fighting crime and criminality”.
He optimistically assured that with synergy with other security operatives, they would be able to overcome the enemies of humanity, bandits, kidnappers and other criminals.
