• ROMAN ABRAMOVICH:
Roman Abramovich is popularly recognized as the owner of Chelsea at least before the sanction. However, many aren’t aware that he was once Russia’s richest man, reaching a peak of about $23 bn in the past. Despite ranking 142 in the Forbes list of billionaires in 2021 compared to Dangote’s 191st spot, Abramovich now occupies the 340th spot.
• ALEXEY MORDASHOV:
Alexey Mordashov is undoubtedly one of the richest people in Russia. However, since the war between his country and Ukraine started, the businessman has experienced some financial losses due to the sanctions placed on his country’s economy.
In 2021, Alexey Mordashov was ranked number 51 in Forbes’s list of billionaires with an estimated net worth of around $29 bn. However, before the war in 2022, he was ranked 56th in the world but unfortunately, he currently occupies the 129th spot just below Aliko Dangote.
