The United States Secretary of States, Anthony Blinken has said that his country is aware of the peculiar security challenges facing Nigeria, and it would continue to provide the needed support to addressing it.
Mr Blinken stated this during a virtual chat with Radio Nigeria, as part of activities lined up for his virtual visit to Nigeria and Kenya.
He explained that Nigeria as the biggest partner of the United States, the Biden administration would provide the necessary support for the country to tackle its security challenges.
The US Secretary of State, further, called for caution and respect for human rights while carrying out the fight against insurgency.
On youths Empowerment, Secretary Blinken pointed out that the youths population will have a greater impact on the development of any nation when provided with the needed support.
He said the single best investment any nation can make is on its youths.
He said part of what he discussed with President Buhari in his virtual visit included security, climate change and COVID-19.
