Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno state has approved the appointment of Barrister Simon Malgwi as his Special Adviser (SA) on Legal and Administrative Matters.
Until his appointment on Thursday , Barrister Malgwi was the Head of Service (HOS) , Borno state whose 35 years service to the state government.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG,, Borno state, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, said the formal retirement of the HOS will be effective from 21st Friday, 2022. and he is expected to hand over the affairs of his office to the most senior Permanent Secretary.
“He will be sworn-in in due course”. The statement stated.
Meanwhile, Governor Zulum has expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Malgwi for his meritorious services to the state in various capacities, including those of the Head of the Borno State Civil Service and Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice.
The governor, however, wished him well in his future endeavors.
