Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has commissioned two newly constructed primary health care departments and renovation work carried out by the Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Hon Ali Umar Bolori.
Zulum while unveiling the projects, said the state government is proud of his achievements and will continue to support the council and provide dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.

The projects include remodelling of the LGC Secretariat Complex, which is one of the 39 projects executed under the two years administration of Hon Bolori which attracted commendations from the LG staffs and the members of the public.

The governor, who arrived the council secretariat together with the commissioner for Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Meleh and political office holders among others were received by the chairman.

After the commissioning of the newly constructed Primary Health Care Department, the chairman took the governor round the executive chamber and other parts of the edifice which has undergone thorough renovation after so many years of neglect.

The governor had also inspected the distribution of 45 cars that were lined up for distribution to party supporters and members as beneficiaries for electioneering campaign.

It is expected that other projects will be commission simultaneously soon in other LGCs of the state as governorship campaign has been launched by the governor since last week.
In his remark, the Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council Hon Ali Umar Bolori appreciated the governor and his support to the council and residents of Maiduguri Metropolis in all the sectors of the state economy despite the teething economic recess and security challenges.
He also thanked the party leaders and stakeholders for their support and encouragement while recognizing the support and cooperation of all the staff of the MMC during his two years tenure.
