Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has approved the constitution of high level committee for the reform of the Health Sector in the State.
Governor Zulum’s approval was contained in a statement issued and signed by Alhaji Danjuma Ali, the acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG)bo.
He said the committee has Dr. Mairo Mandara, Special Adviser to the Governor on SDGs as Chairperson.
Other members of the committee include – Prof. Babagana Mallam as the Co-Chairman, Prof. Shehu Sule as member , Prof. Aliko Ahmed of Public Health, UK as Member, Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab of NGF as member and Pharm. Umar Abdulkarim of University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital as member.
Others include Dr. Muhammad Aminu Ghuluze l, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services as member, Prof Mohammed Arab Alhaji, the Executive Director, Borno State Primary Health Care Development Agency as member,.
Dr. Sale Abba Kaza, the Executive Secretary, Borno State Contributory Health Care Management Agency as member, representative of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Borno State as member, representative of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Borno State as Member, Representative of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Borno State as member and Alhaji Bunu Monguno as secretary.
