Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has on Sunday paid a visit of condolence to Governor Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razaq who recently lost his father.
AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho Abdul-Razaq (SAN), an Elder statesman, died on Saturday at the age of 93.
Zulum had established an intimate relationship with the Kwara Governor back in August 2019, when both leaders accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari to Japan for the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
It was the first presidential trip for both APC Governors serving their first term.
In company of the visit to Ilorin were Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, APC State Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, Member of House of Reps., AbdulKadir Rahis, two Commissioners, Architect Yerima Saleh, and Dr Babagana Mustapha, and Special Adviser on Religious Affairs, Sheikh Modu Mustapha and that of Community Relations, Alhaji Yusuf Alao.
On arrival, Zulum was received at the Government House, Ilorin, by Governor Abdul-Razaq.
Sheikh Modu Mustapha led Zulum’s delegation in prayers for the repose of late AbdulGaniyu Abdul-Razaq.
Zulum described late AbdulGaniyu Abdul-Razaq as a legend whose lifetime was of huge impact.
Abdul-Razaq in response thanked Zulum for the condolence visit.
After the visit that lasted for less than an hour, Zulum departed for Maiduguri.
