Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has flagged off his governorship campaign for the second term in order to ensure continuity in improving the security challenges and post insurgency rebuilding processes and development of the state.
Governor Zulum flagged off the campaign on Monday at Ramat Square Maiduguri amidst mammoth crowd from all the 27 LGAs of the state.
He noted that his three and half years administration has Impressively touched the lives of the people and provided basic infrastructural facilities and amenities , poverty alleviation materials , rehabilitated and reconstructed schools, hospitals, roads, farmlands and resettled IDPs, boost agricultural activities, reconstructed markets and other commercial centers to boost people’s socio economic activities.
The governor added that despite the volume of people’s oriented projects and programmes he has executed in his first tenure, there is the need for the good people of Borno state to continue to pray for his government as well give him the second mandate to complete the good work he has started.
He also appealed to eligible voters to obtain their PVCs and ensure they come out en masse to vote for APC candidates contesting in the 2023 general elections.
He appreciated all the former governors, Senator Ali Sheriff, Mauna Lawan Ma’aji, amongst other political stakeholders, elder statesmen, religious, traditional/community leaders and youths for their supports.
Governor Zulum further commended th Nigeria military, CJTF, Vigilante groups, NSCDC, Nigerian Immigration Service, police and others for their support and dedication in cooperating with the state government in restoring peace.
On his part, The National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu in his goodwill message appreciated at the APC stakeholders for their solidarity while passing encomium on Governor Zulum for his unprecedented leadership achievements .
Senator Abdullahi, who was represented by the Deputy National Chairman, APC, Senator Abubakar kyari urged the APC supporters and members to continue to remained faithful to the party at all levels and shun all kinds of anti party activities, while soliciting for more supports from the electorates during the election
Similarly, The Borno State APC Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, thanked the mammoth crowd for converging at the square to witness the flag off of the governorship campaign. He called on the party supporters and members to maintain their stand and faith with the party and its candidates .
Hon. Dalori also pledged his supports to all political candidates under the APC in ensuring maximum victory come 2023.
